Project name: Hordeum vulgare

Description: The effort to collect barley ESTs and to cluster them into unigenes allowed the identification of SNPs. These SNPs were developed into an Illumina GoldenGate assay. This assay was used to genotype four mapping populations: 93 doubled haploid maplines from the Oregon Wolfe Barley population, 148 doubled haploid plants from the 'Steptoe' x 'Morex' population, 95 doubled haploid maplines from the 'Haruna Nijo' x 'OHU602' population, 93 doubled haploid maplines from the 'Morex' x 'Barke' population.
