Project name: Solanum lycopersicum

Description: The effort to sequence the tomato genome resulted in large amounts of nucleotide sequence data that can be searched for microsatellites. This project is to develop the markers and to genetically map them. The mapping population is an F2 derived from Solanum lycopersicum x Solanum pennellii that had used to develop previous linkage maps. The developed SSR markers were integrated into the previous map.
