Project name: Medicago truncatula

Description: A sequence based genetic map of M. truncatula genome has been developed by analyzing 288 sequenced and characterized genetic markers which correspond to 141 ESTs, 80 BAC end sequence tags, and 67 resistance gene analogs. The project was funded by NSF, European Union (QLG2-CT-2000-30676) and the Hungarian National Research and Development Program (OM 4/023/2001, T038211, and OMFD-00229/2002). There is another NSF funded project to develop a comprehensive physical map of the M. truncatula genome.
