Project name: Saccoglossus kowalevskii

Description: The Saccoglossus kowalevskii genome was sequenced to 7X coverage by Baylor College of Medicine, with a view to advancing hemichordate-chordate comparisons and illuminating chordate origins. The assembly, Skow_1.1, includes both the nuclear and the mitochondrial genomes. Some test sequencing for S. kowalevskiiwas also performed by the Broad Institute.
