Project name: Drosophila silvestris

Description: Bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) library construction is underway for D. silvestris with a goal toward comparative genomic studies. Construction and utilization of this BAC library will provide a sequencing resource for comparative annotation and a genomic resource for experimental studies on gene function within the Drosophila genus.
