Project name: Rhizopus microsporus strain:CBS-344.29
Description: Rhizopus microsporus, a phytopathogenic fungus, is studied for its endosymbiotic lifestyle with the bacterium Burkholderia rhizoxinica. We sequenced two different strains (CBS 344.29 and ATCC 62417) using Illumina sequencing machines using different libraries protocols. The assembly has been made with the ALLPATHS-LG assembler. The gene structures were annotated using a combination of multiple gene predictor programs and custom-built scripts. Functional annotation was done using Blast2GO, InterProScan, blastp, and SMURF. This BioProject describes the first strain: CBS 344.29
Data type: Genome sequencing and assembly
