Project name: Lactococcus lactis strain:11/19B-1

Description: L. lactis 11/19-B1 strain has highly activity on the stimulation of the innate immunity in silkworm comparing other L. lactis. Intake the yogurt which contains L. lactis 11/19-B1 and Bifidobacterium BB-12 significantly decreased LDL in high LDL volunteers, comparing the control yogurt which is absent of both lactic acid bacteria strains. Furthermore, in 1-fluoro-2, 4-dinitrobenzen induced atopic dermatitis (AD) mouse model, intake 11/19-B1 strain improve the AD-related dorsal skin and ear lesions comparing other lactic acid bacteria. To identify the genome level differences among 11/19B-1 and other L. lactis strains, we tried to determine the nucleotide sequence of this strain.
