Description: In the project of “Regional Innovation Cluster Program (City Area Type), Creation of a health-related bioindustry based on the functionality of characteristic sugars”, the aim of our group is to promote the commercial production of lipopolysaccharide of Pantoea agglomerans by utilizing research results. This material was developed as a functional food, and skin-care products leading to innovation in the health-related bioindustry in readiness for the aging of society. The future goal of our research is the creation of novel drug based on the synthesis of a new lipopolysaccharide. For this goal, genome analysis of Pantoea agglomerans is essential for the information of definitive structure of LPS.
