Project name: Pseudonocardia sp. N23

Description: Pseudonocardia sp. N23 is a novel strain capable of degrading 1,4-dioxane as the sole carbon and energy source. The strain can constitutively express 1,4-dioxane degradation activity and has a strong 1,4-dioxane degradation ability among 1,4-dioxane degrading bacteria isolated to date. The goal of this study is to understand the molecular mechanism of 1,4-dioxane degradation by the strain.
