Description: We have previously reported three Group B streptococci with reduced penicillin susceptibility(PRGBS) clinical isolates that form small less hemolytic colonies. Three clinical isolates reverted to a fast-growing phenotype and large colony size, equal to that of the GBS ATCC strains. Therefore, isogenic strains were sequenced to identify the mutation related to a small colony size.
