Description: Dehalococcoides mccartyi strain UCH-ATV1 is capable of complete reductive dechlorination of trichloroethene to ethene. D. mccartyi strain UCH-ATV1 was isolated from groundwater contaminated with chlorinated solvents. The genome was analyzed using the next-generation sequencer, PacBio RS II, and the complete genome sequence was determined.
