Project name: Cupriavidus sp.
Description: We have isolated urease produced bacterial strains from Japanese coastal area at Wakayama Pref in Japan with Urea Agar Base (UAB) medium at 30 C. These five strains shown great activity than Sporosarcina pasuteurii (ATCC11859) as control strain. Strain S1-1 shows best urease activity in all isolated strains. And these strains produced CaCO3 between sea sand particles and produced biocement with sea sand. In this data, 16srDNA sequence data include about 900-1000 bp. We hope to registration these sequences data in DDBJ data bank. This strongest strain S1-1 is able to use for the ell grass protection technique in the ocean.
