Project name: Streptococcus sp. strain:MTG105

Description: Alpha-Streptococcus was isolated from a sputum of a patient with respiratory infection. This strain was firstly identified as S. pneumoniae but several genetic analyses suggested this isolate was a novel species. To clarifiy the genetic difference between this isolate and S. pneumoniae, the whole genome sequence was determined.
