Project name: Enterococcus faecium

Description: To characterize Japanese enterococcal isolates carrying linear plasmids, whole-genome sequencing was performed. All strains analyzed were clinical strains detected at medical institutions in Japan from 2000 to 2019. Of the 16 strains analyzed in this study, 13 were vancomycin-resistant enterococci and 3 were vancomycin-susceptible, and all of them were E. faecium.
