Description: Reference genomes and gene catalog of gut microbiome are essential resources for understanding the functional role of specific taxa in the microbiome and for quantifying their abundance in metagenomes. Here we constructed a reference gene catalog and metagenome-assembled genomes of pig gut microbiome, and analyzing the evolution of gut microbiome from Wild boars to highly selected pigs, which provide important and powerful resources for generating insights into the pig gut microbiome and future metagenomic sequencing-based studies.
