Description: Cotton is economically the most important natural fiber producing crop in the world. After polyploidization, Gossypium hirsutum evolved to produce a higher fiber yield and to survive better in harsh environments than G. barbadense which produces longer, and hence superior quality fibers. Here, we provide the data of TM-1 (Gossypium hirsutum) and Hai7124 (G. barbadense) that used for genome assembly. The data includes 2 PE libraries,3 MP libraries and a 10X Gemcode library that sequenced by Illumina platform. In addition, we also provided sequencing data from 4 upland cottons and 8 sealand cottons.
