About coRIC map
The coRIC map is a resource and analytical framework for charting RBP localization, participating cellular pathways and interacting biomolecular networks in a spatially resolved manner. This project is based on coRIC (compartmentalized RNA Interactome Capture), a methodology aiming to isolate subcellular RBPs through the optimized combination of phase-separation RNA interactome capture and APEX-mediated proximity labeling.

Subcellular compartment
The current map is initiated in HEK293T cells using 22 bait proteins of interest targeting 18 compartments. This is going to be expanded to incorporate more baits targeting more compartments as well as in other cell lines in the future.

Data integration
To fully understand the function of subcellular RBPs, Our coRIC map provides a paradigmatic template for investigating the biological pathways associated with RBPs in different subcellular compartments. In addition, we have generated the hierarchies of RBP-containing complexes in the multiscale cell by integrating our coRIC map with a large-scale protein interactome dataset (BioPlex) using machine learning. This would be a valuable resource for researchers concerning multifaceted RBP function and the crosstalk between RBPs in different complexes. To facilitate a deeper understanding of the biomolecular networks of RBP complexes, our data frameworks can be refined by integrating the sequences of compartment-specific RBP-protected footprints, which is critical for studying RBP-mediated compartmentalized RNA regulation.
