Project name: Hazelnut genome sequencing
Description: European hazelnut (Corylus avellana L.) is an important tree crop worldwide, and ~70% of the world's hazelnuts are produced in the Black Sea region of Turkey. We have undertaken to produce and annotate a reference-quality genome sequence for one of the most important Turkish cultivated hazelnut varieties, 'Tombul', along with supporting transcriptome data.
