Project name: Trebouxiophyceae sp. KSI-1
Description: Trebouxiophyceae sp. KSI-1 is a green alga isolated from the seashore hot spring in Satsuma-Iojima, a volcanic island, in Kagoshima, Japan. This strain is highly tolerant to oxidative stress caused by methyl viologen and copper ion. Here we report the draft genome sequence of this strain, and this genomic information provides an insight into the genetic basis for the mechanism of oxidative stress tolerance of this algal strain.
