CNGBdb released the LettuceDB on March 3, 2022, aiming to provide a comprehensive digital resource for lettuce research and breeding. LettuceDB is the world's largest database of lettuce germplasm resources, providing multi-omics data on lettuce cultivation and wild breeding. LettuceDB will contain more than 3000 lettuces germplasm resources in the future. In 2021, this project analyzed 445 re-sequencing data, unveiling the lettuce domestication history and the corresponding genetic traits. The results have been published in Nature Genetics.
The current release, LettuceDB v1.0, includes genome data, germplasm information, and around 200 million genetic variation information from 445 lettuce resources.
