Since Fish-T1K's inception in November 2013, nineteen institutions worldwide with nearly thirty scientists have joined the project to work towards the goal of generating genome-wide transcriptome sequences for 1,000 different species of fishes.
We are pleased to announce that a Fish-T1K workshop will be held at the 9th International Conference on Genomics (ICG-9) and the 3rd Shenzhen International Biotechnology Innovation Forum & Expo (SIBIFE-3), jointly hosted by BGI, GigaScience and China National Genebank (CNGB). This joint conference, to be held during 9-12 September 2014 in Shenzhen, China, is one of the world's most influential and fruitful annual conferences for the genomics and life science industry community.
During the special Fish-T1K session, we will be making several exciting presentations on Fish-T1K status including recent progress on specimen collection, transcriptome sequencing, results of data analysis and new research findings. Besides, a round-table meeting will be arranged for more discussions. All are welcome to join us and share their ideas.
On behalf of Fish-T1K steering committee, it is our great pleasure to invite you to join in ICG-9&SIBIFE-3 and the Fish-T1K workshop. For further information please visit the ICG-9&SIBIFE-3 official website.
