Project name: Human betaherpesvirus 5
Description: Human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) infections develop into CMV diseases that manifest as various forms in local organs. To investigate differences of HCMV circulating in the peripheral blood and in local tissues, polymorphisms of UL40 virus gene were analyzed in blood and intraocular fluids of Japanese clinical specimens positive for human cytomegalovirus using targeted deep amplicon sequencing.
