Description: The inclusion of the prebiotic Grobiotic-A (2%) in the diet, significantly increases the weight gain and the growth coefficient (in thermal units) of Seriola lalandi juveniles. Also, an improvement in the feed conversion rate was achieved with this prebiotic inclusion. The aim of this work was to identify which genes were affected by the inclusion of dietary soybean meal and/or prebiotic in the liver of yellowtail kingfish juveniles. The transcriptomic analysis was focused on those genes related to growth, lipid metabolism, carbohydrate metabolism, and immune system. Additionally, it will be possible to build a genomic database, useful for future research, from the sequencing, reconstruction, and functional annotation of the transcriptome.
