Project name: Aspergillus tubingensis strain:IFM 63452
Description: Malformin A1, a known cyclic pentapeptide, was isolated from the seagrass-derived fungus Aspergillus tubingensis. The identity of the compound was established based on LC-MS and 1H NMR data. Biological profiling revealed that malformin A1 exhibits trypanocidal activity against Trypanosoma congolense (IC50: 15.08 ng/mL) and cytotoxicity against HeLa (IC50: 50.15 ng/mL) and P388 (IC50: 70.38 ng/mL) cell lines.
