Description: The global response of E. coli tot he broad spectrum biocide polyhexamethyelene biguanide (PHMB) was investigated using transcriptional profiling.Keywords: dose responseOverall design: E. coli was grown until early exponential phase and (t=2.5 hrs) then exposed to PHMB (7.5 mg/l). RNA was extracted (3.75 hrs) from triplicate exposed cultures and triplicate unexposed cultures.
