Description: Metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) allows for genomic-level testing of all infectious agents in a biological sample, and has played a key role in areas including microbiome characterization and outbreak detection. Here, we used mNGS to investigate the causes of acute, non-malarial febrile illness in 212 participants enrolled in the Program for Resistance, Immunology, Surveillance and Modeling of Malaria in Uganda (PRISM) cohort study.
Data type: raw sequence reads
Sample scope: Multispecies
