Description: Ochradenus baccatus fruit activate 'mustered oil bomb' upon consumption by seed predators. The data herein, records O. baccatus microbiota and the effect of O. baccatus consumption by the bird Pycnonotus xanthopygos on this bird's gut microbiota. Small subunit rRNA gene fragments were amplified by PCR (V4 region) and amplicons were sequenced using illumina MiSeq platform.
