Project name: Pseudomonas aeruginosa
Description: Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a Gram-negative pathogen that can cause human a broad range of infections in clinical settings. The bacteria also show a stronger ability of antimicrobial resistance to many antibiotics. In our study, we isolated a strain of P. aeruginosa that was termed as CYZ from the sputum of an immunocompromised patient with pneumonia. In order to investigate the characteristics of the antimicrobial resistance genes, we performed the whole genome sequencing via PacBio. We hope to compare and analyze the genomic distinctions between CYZ and other clinically isolated P. aeruginosa stains, and contribute to enrich the gene bank of the genome of P. aeruginosa.
