Description: This project provides the assembled draft genome and transcriptome of Cannabis sativa. The high-potency medical marijuana strain Purple Kush was used for sequencing. The genome and transcriptome of the hemp cultivars 'Finola' and 'USO-31' were re-sequenced for comparative purposes. This project will provide genomic information useful in breeding cannabis varieties for medical and agricultural applications.
