Project name: Amphilophus amarillo

Description: The transcriptomes of two sympatric speciated Midas cichlid fishes, Amphilophus amarillo and Amphilophus sagittae were sequenced by 454 technology. The aim of this study is two-fold. First, identify the positively selected genes which could contribute the speciation of these two species. Second, these data provide preferable outgroup information for studying the speciation of African cichlid fishes.
