Project name: Hepacivirus C

Description: This project is aimed to evaluate the sequence variations of Hypervariable Region 1 (HVR1) of Hepatitis C virus isolates which were sampled from non-high risk HCV-infected population of Pakistan. Variants were compared with the representative sequences retrieved from online sequence databases (GenBank and Los Alamos HCV). Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) was used to sequence the collected specimens and Global Hepatitis Outbreak Surveillance Technology (GHOST) was used to analyze the data.
