Project name: Prunus persica
Description: To reveal the transcriptomic responses of peach fruit to BABA elicitation and R. stolonifer infection, RNA of the peaches in the three treatments (control, BABA, inoculation, BABA + inoculation) were extracted following subsequent mRNA enrichment with oligo (dT)-rich magnetic beads. The enriched mRNA was then fragmented into small pieces before the first- and second-strand cDNA synthesis. Double-strand cDNAs were then purified, end repaired, polyadenylated, and further ligated to Illumina sequencing adapters. The adapter-ligated fragments were selected by PCR amplification, subjected to agarose gel electrophoresis, and sequenced using an Illumina HiSeqTM 2500 instrument.
