Description: A. fumigatus strain W72310 (W7) represents a novel murine model of Allergic Broncho-pulmonary Aspergillosis (ABPA). W72310 shows resistance to murine bone marrowderived macrophage-induced killing, and increased persistence in the murine lung. Persistence of W72310 in sensitized murine lungs is associated with increased eosinophilia, serum IgE, mucus, and airway damage.
