Project name: Transcriptomic comparison of ST556 WT and rr11 mutants of Streptococcus pneumoniae ST556 under different condition
Description: The opaque and transparent colonies frequency of rr11 mutants has been changed siginificantly compared with that of WT. The molecular mechanism of the regulation of RR11 on phase variation will help understand the penumococcal adaptation since RR11 belongs to a typical Two-component system. But the regulon of RR11 hasn't been identified until now. The RNA sequcing will help identify the regulons of RR11 in ST556.Overall design: Pairwise comparison of ST556 WT with TH9063 (∆rr11) knockout and TH11425 (rr11D53A) mutant of Streptococcus pneumoniae ST556 (RNA-seq), repectively, analyzing the effect of rr11 deletion and inactivation on the pneuomococal transcriptome. It was performed with deep sequencing, using an Illumina Hiseq_X-TEN sequencer with 150 nt paired-end reads.
