Project name: A capsular polysaccharide-specific antibody alters Streptococcus pneumoniae gene expression during nasopharyngeal colonization of mice
Description: The effects of serotype 3-specific monoclonal antibodies on S. pneumoniae gene expression during nasopharyngeal colonization of mice were tested via RNA-seq.Overall design: Mice were treated with mAbs 1E2, 7A9, 31B12, or PBS, and infected with ST3 S. pneumoniae 2 hours later. Nasopharyngeal lavage fluid was collected 24 hrs post-infection to analyze bacterial gene expression by RNA-seq.
Data type: Transcriptome or Gene expression
