Description: Vibrio campbellii is an emerging bacterial pathogen affecting mysis and early postlarval stages of shrimp. The luminescent strain LB 102 of V. campbellii which was isolated from Penaeus monodon brooder rearing system was found to be virulent in challenge trials. To unravel its virulence factors draft genome sequence was generated for this strain.
