Project name: Streptococcus pneumoniae
Description: We performed whole genome sequencing (WGS) for ten pneumococcal clinical isolates with different levels of antibiotic resistance. The key objective of this study is to have a better understanding of the mechanism of drug resistance.Detection of SNPs associated with antibiotic resistance could be crucial for the future use of genome sequencing to predict antibiotic sensitivity in clinical microbiology and for developing new anti-pneumococcal drugs.
