Project name: Streptococcus pantholopis strain:TA 26
Description: In this study, we report findings the phenotypic and phylogenetic features of two Streptococcus-like microorganisms (TA 26, TA 421) isolated from fresh fecal samples collected on different days of two Tibetan antelopes collected on different days and at different locations in Hoh Xil National Nature Reserve, Qinghai, China. The strains were grown on Columbia blood agar plates at 37 °C for 24 h under both aerobic orand anaerobic conditions. Based oOn the basis of the phenotypic and phylogenetic results, a novel species of the genus Streptococcus is proposed.
