Description: Haemophilus influenzae R393. Haemophilus influenzae R393 is a clinical sputum culture isolate from a patient in Malaysia. This strain has no capsule and therefore is a nontypeable Haemophilus influenzae (NTHI). NTHI commonly cause otitis media (ear infections) in children and lower respiratory infections in adults with COPD. This strain will be used for comparative analysis.
