Description: Haemophilus influenzae 6P18H1. Haemophilus influenzae 6P18H1 was isolated from an adult with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This strain has no capsule and therefore is a nontypeable Haemophilus influenzae (NTHI). NTHI commonly cause otitis media (ear infections) in children and lower respiratory infections in adults with COPD. This strain will be used for comparative analysis.
