Description: An international consortium completed the sequencing and analysis of the cryptomonad Guillardia theta nucleomorph genome. This study has been published in Nature 410:1091-1096, 2001. Sequences have been deposited in GenBank under accession numbers AF165818, AJ010592 and AF083031. The consortium is composed of the Institute for Marine Biosciences, Canada, Canadian Institute for Advanced Research, Philipps University, Marburg, and University of British Columbia, Vancouver. Funds were provided by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Council (NSERC), Canada, the Deutsche Forshungsgemeinschaft, and the NERC, United Kingdom.
