Description: Genome reports of Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale strains H06-030791 and ORT-UMN 88. The organism causes respiratory disease in poultry. The bacterium is a Gram-negative, pleomorphic rod when grown in broth and is nonmotile and microaerophilic on agar. Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale affects chickens, turkeys, and other birds. Clinical signs include tracheitis, pneumonia, airsacculitis, sinusitis, and pericarditis.
