Project name: Novosphingobium pentaromativorans US6-1

Description: Novosphingobium pentaromativorans US6-1 can utilize high-molecular-weight PAHs as a sole carbon and energy source. Strain US6-1 especially showed a good ability to degrade benzo(a)pyrene. We used Illumina sequencing to perform a reference assembly of the US6-1 transcriptome induced by benzo[a]pyrene. 0.59Gb were generated in clean nucleotides comprising 6,530,190 clean sequencing reads, 21,143 contigs, and 5,881 unigenes.
