Description: Genus Morus of Moraceae family comprises of about 20 deciduous species and more than thousand cultivated varieties, collectively known as Mulberry. Mulberry trees bear edible, sweet fruits which turn deep red when mature. Some species bear white and yellow fruits as well. It is an important food crop for silkworm, Bombyx mori, that feed on its leaves.
