Project name: Bactrocera oleae

Description: Olives were collected around the UC Berkeley campus, and incubated at room temperature until the emergence of adult B. oleae. Male and female adults were placed in separate vials immediately after emergence, and aged on standard Drosophila food for 4 days. RNA was extracted from each tissue using a Qiagen RNeasy kit following the manufacturer’s protocol. Paired-end RNA-seq libraries and sequencing were performed at the Beijing Genomics Institute.
