Description: We compared the results from 16S-ITS clone libraries and 454 pyrosequencing analysis in two samples from the midgut of the Norway lobster Nephrops norvegicus. We investigated the usefulness of each method according to the target of the study, focusing on whether it is oriented to a deeper revealing of microbial diversity or to a more thorough analysis of the phylogeny of unknown microorganisms that need to be further studied.
