Description: As we know, Linezolid resistance is associated with nucleotide mutation of bacterial 23S rRNA V region, however, many recent reports demonstrate that other genetic mutation, including ribosome protein L3 and L22 et al, also participate in linezolid resistance. Therefore the genome of this linezolid-resistant enterococcus fecalis can be used as reference to study the linzolid-resistant mechanism. Moreover, this strain can be also used to study the phylogenics characteristic of enterococcus fecalis worldwide. Moreover，the genome sequence provides a map for the reevaluation of the phenotypes and the assessment of pathogenicity of this strain and furthermore, facilliate broader applications of this organism for comparison of genotypic differences among members of this species.
