Project name: mouse gut metagenome
Description: Balb/c mice were infected with log10 3.0 cfu/mL of Mycobacterium tuberculosis CDC1551 or log10 3.7 cfu/mL of M. tuberculosis H37Rv. We monitored the gut microbiota in the CDC1551-infected mice by collecting stool samples pre-infection and post-infection until death, then pyrosequenced 16S rRNA gene amplicons from these samples. Stool samples from the H37Rv-infected mice were collected at a single timepoint and compared to samples from age-matched uninfected Balb/c mice.
