Project name: termite gut metagenome

Description: Termites can feed on a wide range of lignocellulosic material including wood, grasses and dung. Here, we use high-throughput sequencing metagenomic approaches to compare the community composition and function between the wood- and cow dung-feeding termite hindgut microbial communities. Amitermes wheeleri hindgut microbiota, collected from cow dung in the Arizona desert.
