Project name: Taenia solium

Description: Taenia solium.There are no physical or genetic maps for this genome. Given Taenia solium's genome size of approx 260Mb, we plan to obtain 2600Mb (10X) from shotgun sequencing, 1040Mb (4X) from paired end-reads from size-restricted libraries, and 520Mb (2X) from targeted cloning. The project also involves sequencing ESTs and a full-length normalized library from 3 developmental stages: eggs, cysticerci and adult worm.
